Over the past two months the student leadership team and myself have been meeting to discuss the ways that we can better serve the student ministry here at Cornerstone Baptist Church. It is our desire that students come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and make Him known in their generation. Through many meetings we have discussed the various ways that we can improve our ministry. One of the things we have discussed is the location of our youth group meetings.
Currently we are meeting at the Sedalia Youth Center. After some discussion we feel that it would be more beneficial to move our weekly meetings back to the Cornerstone Baptist Church building. While the youth center is a great facility we feel that it is not as conducive to our goals as a student ministry. The Sedalia Youth Center is a great place for students to hang out and have fun but it is difficult to promote unity within the youth group in that environment. With all the game systems, pool tables, and the many options of entertainment it actually segregates our students more. By moving back to the church building we would be able to remove the distractions we currently have and promote unity within our group.. With that being said, this leads us to our next topic of discussion. This is where you come in.
As a leadership team we want to know your opinion on meeting times. We currently meet on Sunday nights from 5pm to 6:30pm. As parents you have a better idea of your students schedules. Because of this we would like to provide you with the opportunity to voice your opinion on when you think we should meet.
